  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 2 pounds Beef Chuck, or round roast, cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 8 ounces Carrot, sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Fresh Thyme, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Flour
  • 1 cup Beef Stock
