There are 4 distinct phases of the menstrual cycle in humans and these phases are:

  4. Luteal Phase

Menstruation Phase:

The menstrual phase is the first stage, this stage start with the bleeding process in women. The menstruation Phase starts when an egg is not fertilized in the previous menstruation cycle. The main reason for menstruation is that pregnancy doesn’t happen. The level of estrogen and progesterone has been dropped and bleeding does happen.

It’s also when you get your period. This phase starts when an egg from the previous cycle isn’t fertilized. Because pregnancy hasn’t taken place, levels of the hormones estrogen and progesterone drop.

Ovulation Phase:

You can say ovulation is the ultimate phase for releasing an egg. An egg is released from the ovary appears in the fallopian tube and enters to uterus. During this time women are usually receptive and the ovulation stage happens only 16 to 32 hours. An ovulation phase is the ultimate phase for managing the ovulation cycle.
