These Mini Meatballs with Marinara Sauce are a crowd-pleaser, perfect for family dinners or as an appetizer at your next gathering. These bite-sized meatballs are juicy, flavorful, and simmered in a rich marinara sauce, offering a delicious and comforting meal that everyone will love. Easy to make and full of Italian-inspired flavors, this dish pairs wonderfully with pasta, zoodles, or a fresh salad.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for a low-carb option)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil (optional for garnish)

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Roll the mixture into small, bite-sized meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter

Cook the Meatballs

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches, browning them on all sides for about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet once cooked and set aside.

Simmer in Marinara Sauce

In the same skillet, pour in the marinara sauce. Bring it to a simmer, then add the meatballs back into the sauce. Cover and let the meatballs cook in the sauce for an additional 10 minutes, ensuring they are fully cooked through.
