Tossed Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken

Tossed Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken is super flavorful and great for keto, or low-carb lifestyles. This dish pairs well will brown or white rice, and broccoli and sweet potato.

Ingredients

  • oz vegetable oil for frying
  • 16 oz boneless chicken thigh, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup potato starch
  • ⅛ tsp turmeric powder
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ⅛ tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp ground white pepper
  • ¼ tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup red onions, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • ½ cup water spinach stalks, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 head garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/8 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sliced red chilies

Instructions

Combine potato starch, turmeric powder, ground nutmeg, dried thyme, ground white pepper, dried oregano, smoked paprika, and salt in a mixing bowl; mix well.

Place and toss to coat the chicken well.

Divide the coated chicken and fry until golden in hot vegetable oil.

Place the cooked chicken in a mixing bowl for the meantime.

Continue the frying process with the remaining coated chicken.

Once the frying is done, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Saute red onions, red bell pepper, water spinach stalks, and minced garlic for 2 minutes while stirring constantly.

Add in honey, soy sauce, and red chilies.

Mix well and bring the mixture to a simmer for 2 minutes.

Toss the crispy fried chicken and mix well to coat everything with the sauce.
