- 1/4 cup whole milk

Instructions
For the Vanilla Cupcakes
1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
2
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3
In another bowl, using an electric mixer, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, which should take about 2-3 minutes.
4
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
5
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
6
Divide the cupcake batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
7
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
8
Allow the cupcakes to cool in the tin for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
For the Vanilla Buttercream Frosting
1
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
2
Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
3
Add the milk and vanilla extract and continue to beat until the frosting is smooth and fluffy. If you want pink frosting, you can add a few drops of red or pink food coloring and mix until the desired color is achieved.
Assembly
1
Once the cupcakes are completely cool, pipe or spread the vanilla buttercream frosting onto each cupcake.
2
Decorate with Valentine's Day sprinkles or decorations if desired.
3
Allow the frosting to set, and your delicious Vanilla Valentine's Day Cupcakes are ready to be enjoyed!
