If you’re like me and you like trying the latest health and wellness products, you’ve probably seen an ad for MudWtr while scrolling on your social media feed. But just in case you haven’t, Mud Wtr is a coffee alternative that promotes focus, energy, and immunity without the jitters and dependency from caffeine. At its core, this product contains 9 ingredients: Masala Chai, Sea Salt, Cinnamon, Lionsmane, Cordyceps, Reishi, Chaga, Tumeric, and Cacao. Not to mention – it’s also sugar and gluten free – making it a great alternative for those who have specific dietary restrictions.
How to make Mud Wtr
Making Mud can be as simple or as complicated as you like. For those that like to take the simple route, all you need to make a traditional cup of mud is one tablespoon of Mud powder and a cup of water. Mix the two together and you’re set! There are so many ways to spice up your mud, there’s no way you can go wrong!
During my first go-around, I decided to make a classic mud latte; and to be honest, it was one of the best combinations that I created while testing out the product. Check out how I made my latte in my unboxing video.
What comes in the Mud Wtr package
Mud Wtr offers two different types of mud: morning mud (known as rise) and an evening mud (known as rest). Each option comes with a choice of a 30-day or 90-day supply.
You can also kickstart your journey by choosing one of their ritual kit options with the mud of your choice. I received the morning ritual starter kit and it came packed with lots of extra goodies! Take a look at my unboxing video here to see what’s inside.
What does Mud Wtr taste like?
The flavor of the morning mud is pretty good but complex to describe. In my opinion, mud has a flavor similar to chai tea sprinkled with hints of cinnamon and cacao. But besides flavor, mud can develop a grain-like texture if not mixed well. I partially noticed this when making mud the traditional way (either hot or cold).
For some reason, the contents of the powder does not fully dissolve into water, so if not stirred continuously, it builds up at the bottom of the cup and leaves you with a thick, muddy substance.
Does Mud Wtr give you energy?
Short answer – yes. Mud Wtr contains caffeine – just not as much as coffee. If you’re someone who is a habitual coffee drinker, it might take a little time for you to decrease your dependency on coffee and transition to drinking less caffeine. During my trial time, I noticed that I felt energized and focused most of the morning, however, that soon wore off as the afternoon came around.
Ultimately, I believe that Mud Wtr boost energy levels, but it does not last for long compared to coffee.
Would I recommend Mud Wtr?
Although I am not a frequent coffee drinker (I’m more or a morning tea person), I really enjoyed my experience drinking it. The natural and organic ingredients make this a great product for all diet types and a perfect alternative for those who want to decrease their caffeine intake.
