What is Sirtfood Diet and How Does it Work?

Sirtfood diet is another diet that is currently in vogue. It was developed by Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten, two nutritionists for a private gym in the USA, in a book they co-authored.

This book is called ‘The official sirtfood diet’. In the book, the diet releases a gene in the body which is dubbed ‘skinny gene’, which helps the body burn fat faster.

They claimed that it will help you lose weight, in a month and even increase your longevity.

Sirtfood diet and how does it work

This diet consists of foods that contain a group of seven proteins called sirtuins SIRTs. These seven proteins improved metabolism, lifespan, and inflammation. The proteins are given the acclaimed effect of fast weight loss and increased life span. This is attractive to people who want to lose weight fast & long life check.

How does it work

The sirtfood diet works in two phases for the diet to take its full course and bring out results.

First phase

There are two phases in the diet both of which take less than a month. The first phase takes 7 days to complete, while the second phase takes 12 days to complete.

The first phase, which is 7 days, has a lot of calorie restrictions. Moreso it includes a lot of green teas, which are mentioned before.

 It is supposed to jumpstart the weight loss, and the two authors have claimed that you can lose as much as seven pounds (2.2) kg.

In the first 3 days of this phase

– Your calorie intake needs to be reduced to 1000 calories.

– You have to choose one food from the ones in the sirtfood book, it doesn’t matter which one it is. They all contain the right amount of sirtfood protein

 

Examples of such food includes miso glazed tofu and seafood omelets, or a Shem.

In the 4-7 days of phase one, your calorie can be increased to 1500 calories.

Second phase

This phase is called the maintenance phase, and it lasts for 2 weeks.

However, there are no specific calorie limits for this phase. You can take as much calorie intake as you want.

Again, you’re going to be choosing from the diet listed in the book. You can repeat these two phases phase one and phase two, and you can do it over and over again, each time you need to lose weight.

Foods that contain sirtuin

– Half a green apple

– Half a lemon

– Ginger

– 30 gram (1 ounce) arugula (rocket)

– 2 celery sticks

 

Make everything into a juice and mix it, except the green tea and lemon. You can use a blender to blend everything but you should juice the lemon manually.

Mix the lemon and green tea together with the rest of the ingredients. This mixture is to be taken 3 times a day.

What happens after the diet

 The sirtfood diet, while it has health benefits, does not include enough balanced diet for people.

There is a stipulated amount of protein that should be taken by people per day, depending on age, and gender. However, this diet does not put these things into consideration.
